The Cantrell Family Reveal Party!

Do y'all remember the Cantrell Family?  I had the pleasure of taking their family photographs a little while back.  Their little girl Grace received a heart transplant and the ah-mazing charity organization Sunshine On A Ranney Day was there to lift their spirits in this very difficult time with a home makeover. You can read more about their story here.

Yesterday was the big reveal!  The driveway was so full of cars guests had to park down the road and across the street.  As guests began to arrive the excitement started to get real.

When I walked in I was greeted by Juliette, Grace's little sister.  She was all smiles!  Grace was getting all dolled up in her pretty dress.

Chick-Fil-A fed us yummy chicken.

After everyone was fed it was time to get down to business!  I headed downstairs to the basement to get started photographing all the pretties!

This basement was completely unfinished before SOARD got a hold of it.  Their designers and volunteers worked very hard for three weeks on this project.

Squeal!!!!  I was so excited to see so many of the family's photographs that I took hanging on their walls!

Isn't this just beautiful and amazing and SO special!!!  The basement was filled with fun!  An incredible mural, a ball pit, a tree house and a swing. . .I mean what more could a kid ask for?!

This is the home school room.  Grace will be starting Prek very soon.  :)

SOARD also created a bathroom in the basement.  I love the flooring!  It's tile.  So fun!

And last but not least. . .the girl's, Grace and her sister Juliette, got a new bedroom!

Glazier is the construction company that finished out this makeover.  Below, centered in the photograph, Holly and her husband Paul Ranney, founders of SOARD.

It was finally time for the big moment!

Then it was time to head down to the basement.

Oh that smile!  So contagious, beautiful and full of life and love.

A new heart for Grace | Covington, Ga. Photographers

Last weekend I met, for the first time, a family that has endured and overcome more than I can even image.  Their strength, faith in God and love for their babies shines so bright.

When Grace was three she was diagnosed with a rare heart condition.  On her fourth birthday she received a new heart.  She has spent the last year in the hospital and finally returned home last month.

This incredible family was chosen by the charity organization Sun Shine on a Ranney Day for a home makeover!  To keep up to date with the Cantrell family pleas “Like” their fan page.

Please keep the Cantrell family in your thoughts and prayers.  Grace is still healing and receiving donor transfusions every eight weeks of immunoglobulin to help sustain her antibodies.

Olivia's Newborn Session | Covington, Ga Newborn Photographers

Forgive me for overloading my blog and fan page with my sweet girl's photographs.  I'm having a bit of a "mom" moment WEEK! lol  I seriously can't believe she is already one.  I remember so well the emotions of her birth and our first days at home being a new family of four.  Yesterday I shared our birth story which you can find by clicking here.

I have been very selfish with Olivia's newborn session.  I haven't wanted to share it.  I don't really know why.  I'm proud of how pretty her session turned out.  I think, maybe I'm just trying to hold on to her littleness for as long as I can.  Even though she was never really little. . .She was 10 pounds, 10 ounces!!!!  Basically a three month old! lol

It's taken me a year but I have finally decided to share her sweet session.  I hope you enjoy it.
