Milk Bath Session | 38 weeks

We are counting down the days y'all!!! Every day I wake up and I am like, "Will this be the day???" I have got to stop! lol I haven't been feeling well at all and that has made this last leg of pregnancy so hard. I have been in pain for the past two and a half weeks with my back and hips feeling a dull muscle ache. When Rocco moves around it intensifies these pains. . .he moves A LOT! Two nights ago I didn't sleep well because he decided to have a dance party! It was so painful. That next morning I scheduled an appointment with my chiropractor and let me tell you! She worked some serious magic!! I feel SO incredible and have decided to walk around like a granny trying to keep this adjustment in place. lol This Thursday will be my 39 week check up and we will also have another ultrasound done to determine just how much this baby boy is weighing in at. At my last ultrasound, my tech told me he was on track to weigh around ten pounds at birth. Eek! He has consistently measured two weeks ahead at every check up. Praying things will progress in God's time, I will gain some patience and this baby boy will be healthy!

Also, I am bored! I keep getting caught up with house chores and then the boredom starts to set in. Plus, with no weddings or engagement sessions currently on my schedule, work has basically come to a halt. Which was the plan so I can focus on my family and try to relax while we wait on our baby boy to arrive. However, my brain hasn't caught on to this idea yet! My brain is re-branding my photography business, checking out ideas for new website designs and layouts and I am taking an online photography class that is geared towards business. I just can't stop!!! lol I love my photography business and the amazing clients I get to meet. I love that it allows me to be creative and I have SO much fun with my clients during our sessions. Seeing my clients in front of my camera during an engagement session, giggling and loving on each other AND already getting excited about their wedding day photography. . .it keeps me going and keeps me passionate!

So, for now I am trying really hard to stay positive and think happy thoughts. I saw these gorgeous pink peonies at the grocery store and thought they would help brighten my day. Which they do every time I see them! :) They are my faves. I love how fragrant and beautiful they are. They made the perfect prop for my milk bath maternity session too! I had Trey behind my camera rocking out his skills. Thank you for taking these for me babe.

Sunday morning, I woke up early and cooked the Father of the Year a superb breakfast: Gluten free pancakes, cheesy eggs and of course BACON! ;) We then headed to Hard Labor Creek State Park Golf Course for nine holes. I was the driver and the girls were Trey's sweet little caddies.

The girls and I surprised Trey with this little video when we got back home from playing golf. Keep in mind this is like my first video! lol

We sure do love this man! He is the very best Daddy to our girls and I know he will be the same for our baby boy. I hope all those amazing daddies out there had a fabulous day.

My baby boy's room annnnnd due dates are no fun. . .

Our baby boy, Rocco, should be here before the end of this month and he has consistently measured two weeks ahead for months. During our last ultrasound we were told he is on track to be a ten pounder - just like Olivia. Eek. Needless to say, I left that ultrasound appointment feeling a little bummed. I was hopeful he wouldn’t be THAT big. Especially since I had been working out, eating so well and I haven’t gained near what I did when I was pregnant with Olivia. Apparently, if you have big babies, you just have big babies! lol He’s not here yet SO maybe I gotta chance of having a small-er baby?! We shall see! The past two weeks have been the most challenging. I keep having these serious pains that take my breath away and make me feel like I am going to be sick. I keep thinking that all these things I am feeling are a sign that he is about to be here and then I wake up annnnnd. . .nothing. lol Due dates are just an estimate based on too many different factors. I have got to get it out of my head and carry on. Literally! Carry him on! I think with him measuring two weeks ahead of “schedule” I have just had it in my head that he will be here two weeks sooner. lol

The good news is I have had this amazing burst of energy today and I have gotten so many things around the house done. Closets are all cleaned out and organized, the girl’s bedroom has been rearranged and organized, bags and bags of clothes and toys are ready to be taken to Goodwill. I could go on and on about my laundry, dishes and how awesomely clean my kitchen cabinets are! BUT I won’t. lol Instead, how about I take you on a tour of Rocco’s cute room?!

I wanted to go bold on the color! I knew it would be fine to go with a darker color because of how high the cream colored wainscoting is up the wall. SO happy with our decision!little_boys_room_decor_0002.jpgBefore we knew Rocco’s gender, I purchased these cute stuffed animal heads. I wasn’t quite sure how we were going to place them in his room. Trey came up with the idea of taking pallet wood and cutting it down into these little plaques. Perfection!little_boys_room_decor_0003.jpglittle_boys_room_decor_0004.jpglittle_boys_room_decor_0015.jpgCheck out that light fixture! Originally, we installed Edison bulbs and they looked beautiful. However, the hue they cast in the room was just TOO orange for our liking. little_boys_room_decor_0005.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0013.jpgTrey got super creative and built lots of cool pipe shelves and he even made the curtain rod.little_boys_room_decor_0006.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0007.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0001.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0008.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0009.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0010.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0011.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0012.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0016.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0014.jpg little_boys_room_decor_0017.jpg Look at all those clothes AND diapers! Woohoo! His drawers are even full of clothes, blankets, sweet little swaddles and SO much more!

When we had our baby shower (which I promise I will share photos from soon!), we got the cutest most helpful gifts for him. I am really looking forward to him being here and a part of our family. So, now I wait and pray! If you would, please keep me and Rocco in your prayers. It would mean so much to me! I remember when I was pregnant with Olivia, I asked all of my friends and family to cover her and I in their prayers. It gave me a confidence like none other I had ever had.

My goal is to have Rocco, non-medicated. That is how I had Olivia and it was so amazing. I used hypnobirthing techniques and they worked perfectly! So perfectly, I had ZERO pain! It's all mind over matter. If you will keep us in your prayers. My prayer is that his birth will be quick and pain free.

Trey and I seriously can't wait to meet him, for our girls to meet their baby brother and to share him with you guys!

RyAnne's 7th Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated our sweet girl's SEVENTH birthday with our friends and family. Holy moly. . .SEVEN! Still can't believe it. I asked her what kind of party she wanted and she said, "TROLLS!" Trolls it was! We scheduled her party and sent out invitations for last Sunday. Well, the forecast said 100% chance of rain that day and we ended up having to reschedule her party for the following Sunday. Thankfully most her friends and family were able to make it. The weather was perfect this Sunday! Yay! Well, almost perfect. The wind was a little fierce at first. Trey and I created this super cute and very colorful balloon backdrop to go behind the food table. However, the wind caught it and knocked it over TOWARDS the food and cake. So, we had to take it down. :(

I had my friend Karen, of Karen's Sweet Confections in Monroe, Ga, do RyAnne's Troll cake. It's SO cute. I added the little Trolls and mushrooms. I thought it would be fun for her to get to keep them and use them in her fairy garden. ;) For the goodies I made, Fruity Pebble marshmallow treats and white chocolate cover strawberries with sprinkles.

Our party favors consisted of Troll hair bands and Play Doh Troll kits. Who doesn't LOVE Play Doh!

I found a couple of Minute to Win it games that I THOUGHT would be a good idea. lol This is the Fruit by the Foot game. The object was to see who could eat the most without using their hands. lol Well, I forgot to mention they couldn't touch it. . .so they all ended up cramming the ENTIRE Fruit Roll Up in their mouths. Eww. social_circle_ga_photographers_0007.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0008.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0009.jpg This is when I realized just how bad of an idea this game was. lol Everyone's faces! I was scared to death they were gonna choke. Everyone was safe! social_circle_ga_photographers_0010.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0011.jpg The next game was called Cookie Face. The object of this game is to place a cookie on your cheek and without touching the cookie move it to your mouth. It was SO funny to watch them. I tried to show them how to move their faces to make the cookie slide down to their mouth. hahaha! They gave me the oddest looks. They all decided to just try and use their tongues instead. social_circle_ga_photographers_0012.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0013.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0014.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0015.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0016.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0017.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0018.jpg Once we finished up with ALL that sugar. . .why not eat cake! Haha! social_circle_ga_photographers_0019.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0020.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0021.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0022.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0023.jpg I know y'all have heard about the Color Run 5K. Trey and I found the packets of chalk they use during that event and let the kids go crazy with it in the yard! social_circle_ga_photographers_0024.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0025.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0026.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0027.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0028.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0029.jpg social_circle_ga_photographers_0030.jpg I hope everyone had a fabulous day with us! We sure did! social_circle_ga_photographers_0031.jpg

Once everyone left the party, we ate dinner - REAL FOOD that didn't have sugar in it. lol After dinner, RyAnne got all her gifts out and started singing a song she made up, "This is the best day of my liiiiiiife!" Thank you to everyone that came to her party and made her feel so very special!

Happy birthday doll baby!!! We love you SO very much!

Eight Months and counting! | Pensacola Beach, Fl Maternity Session

This week I am in my EIGHTH month! It totally doesn't seem like I should be this far along and I am SO very thankful that I don't feel eight months pregnant! Woohoo! A couple of weeks ago, during RyAnne's spring break, we took a trip to Pensacola Beach, Florida. We had such a wonderful time with our girls! The weather was incredible! It was sunshine and sand all but one day. And that one day it rained we headed to the outlets for some shopping. So, it wasn't a wasted day at all! Pensacola Beach is GORGEOUS! This was our second time visiting. The sand is so pure and the water is a stunning shade of emerald. It's always so hard for us to leave.

Olivia kept busting out cute little poses and had me cracking up. lol

I love how excited they are about their baby brother, Rocco. RyAnne insisted that her and Olivia needed to kiss my belly.

pennsacola_beach_fl_photographers_0013.jpg pennsacola_beach_fl_photographers_0014.jpg

When Olivia saw my purple gown, she said, "Oh momma, you look like Elsa!" How cute is that?!

RyAnne was in charge of the camera for the last part of our session. She would tell Trey and I how to pose and what to do next. She specifically told her daddy to kiss my belly. I love her SO much!!!
