Heart Beats, Butterfly Kisses and Priorities

Today Trey and I got to hear our baby's heart beat for the first time.  It was beating strong at about 150 bps.  Quite a nice way to start off a Monday morning.  :)  Two more months and we will find out the sex.  Oh I can't wait!!!

RyAnne is just ecstatic about being a big sister.  She will kiss my belly and tell her baby that she loves it so much.

I'm wondering if I'm feeling this little baby move already!  Seems so early but I feel the little flutters.  My first thoughts were, must be gas!  lol  But yesterday while I was standing at the grocery store I felt a legit fluttery feeling.  Has to be the baby, right???  Sounds nicer than gas!

This month has been quite exhausting for me.  (This is the part where I pull the pregnancy card and complain - just a little bit)  I'm not the napping type but I do feel that at any moment during the day I could fall asleep standing up, sitting down or driving.  I'm pooped and I don't like this feeling.  In the mean time, I am swamped trying to keep up with my editing and emails.

Trey and I are going through some major changes in our family that need our attention, love and support.  Everything seems to be on the back burner as we sort this out.  God has really blessed us with some major responsibilities.  I'm honored and pray that he will bless us on this journey.

And then there are these pains called Round Ligament Pains - got to experience this for the first time last night when I rolled over in bed.  OUCH!  Really caught me off guard.  According to my Dr. most women feel this during their second pregnancy.

Second Trimester, where are you???  I remember feeling so much better once it came along.

On a much more stylish note, Trey took me shopping for maternity clothes yesterday.  I've been hitting up Pinterest hard for ideas on how to dress this baby bump! lol  Even my hair style is a Pin!

Thank you ladies for all that commented on my FB post and letting me know where you shopped to rocked out your belly bump styles!  Here's to hoping I can look as cool as y'all!!!!

Happy Monday!
Love.

Ashley + Aaron | Galloway Farms Engagement Session

Last week, I drove to McDonough to meet with Ashley, Aaron + Bella (her two year old horse) at Galloway Farms to photograph their sweet engagement session.

Ashley + Aaron met in high school back in 2007.  They had a class together but that was the extent of their relationship.  Until one day she really noticed him.  Like really!

Ashley recalls, "It was almost like that moment we knew we were going to be together and get married, it was just a matter of getting to know each other some."

The next few weeks were a whirlwind full of phone calls and dates.   Oh and school projects together ;)   They were driving and talking on the phone one day when he asked her when she wanted to be his girl. She told him she was waiting on him.  He them told her to pull over.  They ended up in the parking lot of a True Value hardware store under an enormous oak tree. Aaron had barely gotten the truck in park before he was out, running around to Ashley's truck, and asking if she would be his.

That was Dec. 22, 2007.

On Dec 22, 2012 Ashley + Aaron packed up for a trip to the North Georgia mountains.   A trip they try and take at least a few times a year.  They were headed up to hike to a waterfall that they had found on a previous trip months earlier. Oddly her friend had taken her to get her nails done a few days before.  Ashley remembers thinking how silly she was gonna look hiking a waterfall with acrylic nails!

They arrived at the waterfall a few minutes after 12:22 (their anniversary date and time).  When they got to the waterfall Aaron was acting kind of funny. He said to Ashley "One day I am going to ask you to marry me in the very spot where we are standing because it is so beautiful."  She was laughing at him wondering what was up.  He acted as if he was ready to go so Ashely turned around to find the hiking trail again.  He then said her full name. . .

As she turned around Aaron was on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hand.  Ashley recalls, "He took my promise ring off and in its place put my engagement ring! He asked if I would marry him, but all I could do was stand there and cry. He finally said that I hadn't given him an answer and I was like 'Of course!'"

I'm so honored that Ashley + Aaron chose me to photograph their love story!  They will be marrying on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle with their reception at Merle Manders Conference Center.

Lindsey + Chris | A Fair Weather Farms Engagement

Chris and Lindsey’s love story is kind of a funny one! Lindsey has her brother Trever to thank for introducing her to her prince charming. Chris and Trever were actually friends before meeting Lindsey. They both lived in Athens, Ga.

Trever was having his 21st birthday showdown in January of 2011 and introduced Lindsey to all of his friends. Lindsey knew right away that there was something special about Chris and she wanted to get to know him, they hit it off immediately! Over the next few months Chris and Lindsey occasionally talked. It wasn’t until late summer that things really started to take a turn for true love August 3, 2011 Chris and Lindsey became “official” They both knew that they had something very special with Chris’s relaxed attitude and Lindsey’s goofy way of putting things.

On March 23, 2013, Lindsey woke up to go take the infamous GACE test and Chris was driving to Dacula to ask permission to marry Lindsey. After the test, Lindsey called Chris and he was acting very suspicious…

She did not know that she was about to be proposed to. When Lindsey pulled up at her Mom and Dad’s house, she saw Chris’s truck, and immediately knew something was up. For those of you who know Lindsey, it is very hard to get things past her… Even harder for her Mom to keep a secret from her. :)  Her and Chris were successful at this!

When Lindsey got out of the car, Chris was walking out of the house. She asked him what in the world he was doing there. He grabbed her hands and she asked him again what he was doing (of course laughing).

Chris then told Lindsey that he loved her so much and he could not imagine being with anyone else for the rest of his life. Meanwhile, Lindsey's parents are both standing at the back door watching the sweet proposal! Chris then pulled the ring out of his pocket, got half way down on one knee, and asked Lindsey to marry him. She said OMG and of course said YES!!!

She also kept asking if this was really happening?? Of course it was!! And now Chris and Lindsey get to spend the rest of their lives with the person they love most.

Lindsey + Chris, I can't wait for your Saturday, October 5th Fair Weather Farms wedding!!!
