I wrote this blog post over a year ago when we hit our four year anniversary in 2015. Life must have gotten in the way because I never released this awesome blog post! I regret not sharing it. We are now five years and counting!!!! So to honor this, check out how we got started and some silly pictures.

I started my business on a whim. Like, no joke! My husband surprised me with a DSLR Canon Rebel t1i two weeks before Christmas in 2010 and by February 2011 I had six PAYING sessions on schedule. Not saying I really recommend doing things that way, BUT it worked for me! :) I did have a business plan (thanks to a Google search on how to make one), pricing sheets and a logo in place. I had NO idea where all this would take me! Four years and LOTS of experience later, I am still in love with my job and my bestie, Miriam, that helps me out!

I remember the day Miriam offered to start editing for me. I was sitting in her mother-in-laws living room floor, overwhelmed and crying. She said, "Holly, just teach me how! I will edit for you." This changed my life, my turn around time and our relationship for the best. When I started photographing more weddings I asked her if she wanted to learn how to shoot. She jumped on it and her and I have been going strong ever since. We are an awesome team! We have so much fun working together and we have grown so close. It's the best eva! So to celebrate Holly L. Robbins Photography hitting the big FOUR we did a photo shoot!
