Erin and Josh | The Westside Warehouse Wedding
Erin woke up on her wedding day knowing it was going to be one of the most magical day’s of her life! She felt the calm, the excitement, the nerves, all rushing through and it was going to be an amazing day! As I was driving to the Loews Hotel in Atlanta, where I knew they wanted to share their first look on the tree lined streets, I started thinking about a plan B because it was raining cats and dogs.
Thankfully Erin spent the first part of her big day with her ladies, popping bottles of Champaign and drinking mimosas, talking with one another and laughing! When we walked into her hotel room, she was so calm and just stunning with her hair and makeup already done! I could tell she was nervous that the rain would ruin her day even though she knew it wouldn’t really make that big of a difference - she was marrying her best friend today!
My assistant photographer, Arlissa, and I started photographing Erin’s details in the window lined hotel room suite. It was stunning! Erin and her bridesmaids and friends sat back and watched and even helped us out! They were the sweetest ladies! I could tell how important this day was to them too.
Once we realized the rain wasn’t letting up, we needed to pick a different location for them to share their first look. That’s when it all got really real for Erin and the nerves started creeping in. With her and her ladies, we all formed a plan to go to their wedding venue, Westside Warehouse, to have their first look. It was OH-SO-perfect! When Erin walked into her venue and saw how beautiful her dream had translated, she was in awe! The venue was dreamlike! After 10 months of planning and dreaming up with her amazing team, Erin was speechless.
The time had come for her to slip on her gown and start her ‘first looks”! The smile on her face, never left once she had on her dress, veil and jewelry. She shared a first look with her ladies, then her step dad, Stewart, and next up JOSH! I remember seeing her with an even bigger smile as she walked towards Josh, opened the door and had him turn towards her. This part of the day was quick, due to our “new” schedule but thankfully we made it work perfectly and had Erin and Jost put away before too many of their guests saw them.
As, the music started playing, the guests took their seats and Erin watched from afar, as her grandmother was walked down the aisle to her seat, she knew it was her turn. She kept reminding herself “There is nothing to be nervous about, I got this! Just smile, look Josh straight in the eyes and don’t worry about anyone else in the room!” While she was walking down the aisle, she turned to her step dad, Stewart, and told him she felt like she was going to cry. The tears started welling up as she got closer to Josh and the emotions started taking over. As Stewart placed her hand into Josh’s she again felt the calm and relief. It was here, the rain didn’t ruin anything and she was about to become Mrs. Alexy - finally!
Congratulations Erin & Josh!!
A message from Erin, “We have the best families, and friends anyone could ask for. We cannot thank them enough for sharing our day and I cannot wait to see where our next chapter takes us! If I could, I would go back and relive that day all over again! It was the most magical day and I loved every minute of it. I got to marry my best friend!”
